THE WORLD AWAITS
resource type: info

“The world has yet to see what God can do with a yielded vessel.” — D. L. Moody

Michael Jackson (1958-2009) showed a world what can be done with dedication, commitment, and purpose.  Having watched his memorial service twice on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, I realized that the world awaits.

At 50 years of age, the testimoy of Michael reached around the world.  He is called the world’s greatest entertainer.  Time magazine stated: “...the world began to mourn the brilliant but troubling life of a global icon.”  They said, he “became one of the most famous men in the world–a phenomenon that transcended cultures and race.”

The Guiness book included Jackson because he gave more to charities than any celebrity–what a legacy.  He commited himself to be the best in his field–giving all that he had for his audiences.  He touched the world with his music and tried to remind the world that we are its children.  Since this is true, we should care for one another.

The world awaits” that Christian who will release the love of God abroad, with the eternal message of sins forgiven, and the actions that transform the lives of others.  We, the body of Christ, have the message and the doctrine to accompany it.  Yet, we seem to lack the transforming power. Michael Jackson touched  lives.  He touched the world.  He used the creativity within him.  His purpose was to be the best entertainer and with dedication and commitment, Michael Jackson accomplished his purpose. Around the world people recognized this icon, giving testimony of his affect on their lives.

How can we miss the greatest love story of God, who gave His only begotten Son for a world of lost sinners?  Have we missed the message that Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost?  Jesus was no entertainer.  Jesus was the witness and by His actions demonstrated the Love of God for a world in waiting.

The world awaits the freedom to experience forgiveness.  This includes unbelievers and believer.  So many sins not placed under the precious blood of Jesus.  So many receiving open rebuke from the spiritually correct.  Who is seeking the lost?  Where is the grace to covers them in prayer and demonstrate God’s love.

Is God waiting for me?  Is the world waiting for you?  Michael Jackson has showed us that THE WORLD AWAITS.”    “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you...” Matthew 28:19-20.  Let us  stop pointing out sinners and their sins and reveal the true life changing love of God.

Can we carry the message of love?  What music are you making to reach a WORLD WAITING for unconditional love, forgiveness of sins, and acceptance of their humanity? We may not reach around the world, but can we reach the people in our world of influence.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
resource type: info

The very thought of unconditional love sounds good, especially if you are the one receiving it. In truth we have received it from our heavenly Father. This unconditional love is available to everyone on the world, and guest what it can continue with you.

Continue sharing this love which was started with God. “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believe in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” Meditating on this verse, I saw the four element that identify unconditional love:

Focus: God so loved the WORLD.

Unselfish: He gave His one and only Son.

Purpose: that whoever believe in Him shall not perish.

Benefit: have eternal life.

Unconditional love is intentional. It means we are not looking for some condition to be met before we love or continue to love. In short, you and I can purpose to love. It is usually not hard for a mother to love her only son even after he gets in trouble time and time again. Now that we have these elements, how will we apply them. Example:

Focus: I so love my family, my church, my community

Unselfish: What would you have to give up to reveal your love?

Purpure: Identify your God-given purpose. What is on your heart?

Benefit: God’s purposed worked out

God has been intentional about His love for us. He desires us to receive His gift for eternal life and begin our new life in Him. Being unselfish, we desire to explose this truth to all the world. It starts with each of us. Release this love and help others to get the Word out. You are LOVED.
